Privacy Policy

When you use the site, some settings are saved in your browser's local storage (a small store on your device):

• the recipes you save as favourites,
• the email address you type in the “save recipe” box, if you use it,
• whether you have already filled in that box.

This information stays in your browser. It is not sent to us and we cannot see it. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

The site also keeps copies of pages you visit in your browser's cache (temporary storage), so it can open faster and work when you are offline.

This site and its images are delivered by Cloudflare. Like all web servers, Cloudflare receives technical details when you open a page, such as your IP address (the internet number of your connection), browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We do not use these details to identify you.

We do not use analytics (visitor tracking) tools at this time. If we add one, we will update this page first.

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary (required) cookie to keep the site secure. If we show ads, our ad partner may use cookies as explained below.

To keep the site free, we may show ads from Google AdSense. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors (outside companies), including Google, use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this site and other websites.
• Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can turn off personalised ads (ads based on your interests) in Google Ads Settings. You can also turn off personalised ads from some other companies at aboutads.info.

Our pages link to other sites, such as our social media channels, Wikipedia and USDA FoodData Central. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

This site is meant for a general audience and is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

• Turn off personalised ads using the links in section 4.
