How to Search Recipes by Ingredient

Type an ingredient the way you say it at home. What I Can Cook With understands English, Hindi, Bengali, Hinglish (Hindi in English letters) and Benglish (Bengali in English letters).

  1. 1Go step by step. Tick your main items (Step 1), your cooking oil (Step 2) and, if you like, your spices (Step 3). Type a name in the search box to find an item fast.
  2. 2See three kinds of results. You Can Cook Now shows dishes you can make with what you ticked. Almost There shows dishes where all main items match and you only need to check the oil and spices. Missing 1–2 Items shows dishes that need just 1–2 more main items.
  3. 3Need filters? Use Advanced Search to choose a diet or an occasion, avoid an allergy, or leave out an ingredient.
  4. 4Search for a dish. Use the search icon at the top of the page to find a recipe by its name, like paratha or kachori.
